The Freestone wader has been extremely popular and appreciated for several generations. Countless fly fishermen around the world have been satisfied with it for years. However, Simms designers have found a way to improve this "classic" in a contemporary way. There is no doubt that this new modern edition will appeal to even the most discerning fly fishermen, and not just because of its affordable price. The completely revised design of these modern waders differs from its predecessor in several ways. They are made of 4-layer Toray QuadraLam material, both top and bottom. This patented material makes them highly abrasion-resistant, breathable, and 100% waterproof.

The overall construction is very reminiscent of Simms' upper models. The Freestone have a buckled strap system and can also be worn at waist height. Thanks to the so-called Center Seam Design, leg seams are located at the front and back, which prevents the seams between the legs from rubbing against each other. This design also provides excellent freedom of movement, which, together with the extremely soft material, ensures great comfort. A convenient handwarmer pocket with a fleece lining helps make your fishing breaks on cold days more relaxing. These well-designed waders also feature a spacious zippered chest pocket, a fold-out pocket for tippet materials, and a convenient velcro surface for storing your flies within easy reach. Thus, this wader offers well-structured and generous space without looking "overloaded."

Wading Shoes Guideline Kaitum Rubber Sole & Studs

Our lightest and most affordable wading boots with felt sole, made of nylon material that does not soak up water with reinforced toe and heel. Kaitum Wading Boots are our lightest boots, an affordable alternative for the fisherman who fishes moderate amounts and have high priority on weight before stability. The shoe is made of fast drying materials that does not soak up water. Gusseted tongue and webbing loops for the laces make for fast entry and closing of the boots.

The upper part of the boot has quick-lacing hooks and in the back you find a wide webbing loop. The lower part of the boot is reinforced with rubber on heel and toe to resist hard environments and sharp rocks when wading and an EVA mid sole increases comfort and cushioning when walking. Kaitum Wading boots have a wide Scandinavian fit and are extremely lightweight and fast drying which makes them ideal for the travelling angler.

Kaitum Rubber Boot has the same sole as Laxa Traction. Studs and tool is included so you can put these in if needed. If you fish in rivers- or at the coast with algaes on the rocks, studs will provide a much more secure grip than a plain felt or rubber sole. Colour is Coal and the weight of the boots are 1120 grams / pair in size #10. Kaitum has no harmful DWR treatment with PFC or other types of fluorocarbons. To minimize the eco footprint the boots are packed in boxes made of recycled paper.
